What's so good about "The Next Step"?
"The Next Step" is not about "The best exercise" or "The best program" or "The latest fad that burns 1000 calories per hour". It is not about those misleading distractions that keep eager but confused enthusiasts pursuing unrealistic dreams.

The "Next Step" is all about YOU. Are you new into training? Or are you an advanced athlete looking to improve your performance?

Whatever your goals are, you need guidance to find out if you are ready to take that important step. You and the health of your UNIQUE structure determine if you will successfully engage in the path of a fulfilling and productive active lifestyle or if you will fail in the process.

What is the experience like?
Your exercise prescription must focus 100% on what is productive for YOU, not necessarily on what everyone else thinks you should be doing. This focus alone INMMEDIATELY eliminates all that could be contraindicated for you and ensures that your transition will be a productive one.

Every client without exception will start with a thorough health screening and the Objective Structural and Biomechanical Analysis

Based on the results of OBSA, we will address the issues that interfere with your performance. This is done through the applications of Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy (INT) and adding an initial exercise prescription that will help you take care of those issues permanently.

This is time for you, and only you working with your coach. You will be exposed to techniques and exercises that are foreign to you. We design the exercises based on your conditions and how the application of forces can help you correct those conditions rather than exacerbate them.

You can be sure you will not find many of those exercises in manuals. We do not follow general protocols, only the principles of physics and how they affect YOU. That is how we design our exercise prescription, not by copying routines from literature.

Applications of Olympic Weightlifting for Sports Performance

Coach Izzy A jumping, mule-kicking, reverse curl is not a power clean, and a ballistic overhead deadlift is a not a snatch. They MAY resemble the Olympic Lifts, but be assured you will NOT get even a fraction of the benefits the proper form provides.

One-one-One Russian Kettlebell instruction

Coach Izzy and Coach James This ancient tool has made a strong come back and for good reasons. Properly used and under the right conditions, the unique shape of the kettlebell will challenge your system in ways you thought were not possible.

Proper form is critical for the most benefits and safety and that can only be delivered by competent coaching. We were some of the most experienced and respected kettlebell instructors in the North East prior to making Bainbridge Island our home and bringing our experience to the Pacific North West.

Once we determine your structure is ready, we will meet privately to start your journey of discovery. Because the focus will be on you, and you alone, you'll be able to master the bells at a faster pace than group instruction. Learn and understand the bells to apply them to your lifestyle.


Mixed Martial Arts

Coach Izzy and Coach James For those who are physically ready and looking to put their strength and power to good use, learning the basics of Mixed Martial Arts is an excellent way to supercharge your program and test your focus. Add a new dimension to your training and learn effective ways to fend off opponents while testing all your physical skills.



How often do we meet?
The results of your assessment along with your goals and experience will determine the frequency of your training. We will be meeting from 2 to 3 times per week. You will be presented with sound and appealing options in our first meeting.
